Did you see “The West Australian” this morning? On the front cover of the “Today” liftout, was our very own Norman Jorgensen. Full page! As someone who has read the book “The Smuggler’s Curse” and considers Norman a friend, my heart was to full with bursting. (Highly recommend this book. I would lend you mine, but I want you to buy your own and my non reading nephew begged me to lend it to him! #librarianaunty #winning

In view of the fabulous response to Norman’s book, I’m going a little sideways and asking anyone around Albany on 9th November, to attend the launch of another swashbuckling adventure book. The details are below from illustrator Gabriel Evans’ Facebook event (find him here… Gabriel Evans )

Hoist the sails and join in as the Albany Public Library and I release my latest picture book, ‘Captain Sneer the Buccaneer’ by Penny Morrison/Gabriel Evans (Walker Books).

The book will be officially released by author, Jon Doust.

There’ll be nibblies, drinks and the chance to win an original pirate painting available on the night.

Paperbark Merchants will be there with a treasure chest of Captain Sneer books available to purchase.
