announce a free evening event with Andy Mabbett, Wikipedian in Residence at ORCID, who is
visiting Perth during his Wikidata Tour Down Under.
Andy will give an overview of Wikidata, the Wikimedia Foundation project which
aims to collate data and connect data sources worldwide by aggregating unique

In addition, Gideon Digby, President of Wikimedia Australia,
will give an outline of Toodyaypedia, a Shire of Toodyay project which placed
QR codes around the town and through its museums to link to articles on
Wikipedia. Toodyaypedia has been recognised as one of the best Wikipedia
projects worldwide.
