Members of ALIA West staffed the Popcorn Stall at the recent Bunnings Cannington Father Day Community Evening… While it was a quiet evening (with people heading to the Dockers/Hawks match at Optus Stadium and the inclement weather) we still managed to stamp about 120 cards and handover a freshly cooked bag of popcorn.
It was our first outing for our new ALIA West banner and it was wonderful to see it from almost the other side of the store! Thank you to April (sadly her last evening at Cannington) and Jesse our new Engagement person whom we already love!
We staff these event nights as a way of reaching out to the community and also funding the first prize at our Quiz Night, held to fund our F A Sharr Award. We get to engage with other community groups and share our stories and there’s always a person from the GLAMR world who rocks up to say Hi!
