ALIAWest Icebreaker and VALA Report Back

by | Feb 13, 2014 | Uncategorized

The ALIAWest Committee would like to invite you to join us for our first event of 2014- the ALIAWest Icebreaker. This event, which is being hosted at The State Library of Western Australia, will also present an excellent opportunity to meet the current committee members of ALIAWest and hear about some of our plans for 2014.

If you missed out on attending VALA – Streaming with possibilities – then you will be interested in the report back session as some of the conference attendees provide a short reprise of their papers and share with us their ‘aha’ moments and takeaway messages they gained from the conference.

Our speakers will include:

  • Constance Wiebrands – ECU
  • Michael Wiebrands – Curtin
  • Susan Courtland – Shire of Kalamunda
  • Andrew Kelly – Town of Victoria Park

Constance and Michael Wiebrands will be reprising their presentation of ‘I need more hands-on training!’ – reflections on creating self-directed learning opportunities for library staff; and Constance will also be reprising her presentation regarding Copyright and Digital Rights.

Date: Wednesday 26th February 2014
Time: 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start
Location: Geographe Room, State Library of Western Australia
Cost:

  • ALIA members $10.00
  • Non-members $15.00
