ALIA West – Community Engagement @Bunnings

by | Nov 3, 2025 | F A Sharr Award, Fun

Thursday evening (30th October) saw Lori and myself heading to Bunnings Cannington to help with their Halloween Evening.

This time we were manning the Kids Craft Stall, which saw lots of families stop by to get a stamp on their prize card and for the kids to decorate baskets, bags, and cups. We could honestly say there was not one paint pen left fit for service!

As usual the Face Painting stall had a huge line for the entire evening, glad that’s a professional manning it, not something I could ever do.. Games, popcorn and all other stalls were also well attended.

As always a fun but tiring evening. And a huge Thank You to Bunnings for supporting our F A Sharr Award.

What a fantastic, paint-stained report! Honestly, my kids would probably get more use out of those leftover pens than I would! And bless you for tackling the face painting – Id need a whole team and a calming drink! Sounds like a truly buzzing event, though completely justifiable tiring. The Bunnings sponsorship sounds like a smart move too! 😄 Great job indeed!
