ALIA WA Symposium
Saturday 28 June 2014 at the State Library of Western Australia
Are libraries important because of what they have, or because of what they do? What does being ‘open” really mean for libraries? If, as Roy Tennant argues, the mission of librarians is to empower, do we need to empower ourselves first?
These are the questions Hugh Rundle will explore at the inaugural ALIA WA Symposium.
In this keynote talk, Rundle will argue that if we want libraries and librarianship to be different in the future, we must focus on changing the way we collaborate, cooperate and communicate in the present.
